\u201cFureru\u201d is a piece for a dancer and a block of ice.
In Japanese, \u201cFureru\u201d means \u201cto touch\u201d (without the intention of doing so) or \u201cto be touched.\u201d
Because of its ephemeral nature, ice has the unique ability to evoke an empathetic connection with the one who observes it.
By intertwining the living body and the body of ice, I seek to explore the meaning and the impact of touch when in contact with a substance of extreme temperature \u2014 to share the physical sensations and emotions it awakens in me, while immersing the audience in a sensory, enveloping experience.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
