For the past 20 years, the Avignon Festival and the SACD have been proposing a joint project as part of the Festival programme. Originally, the idea was to bring together emerging, or seasoned, authors seeking to branch out into cross-disciplinary projects. Vive le sujet! invites eight artists to envisage a collaboration with a particular author. to envisage a collaboration with a particular author. If they agree to the challenge, all of them get to be co-authors of a twenty- to forty-five minute duo piece played out by themselves in an open air performance<\/p>\n
