“THE BRIDGES” takes us into the simple and poetic story of three teenagers who meet around a frightening secret—one that will inevitably and suddenly carry them from the shores of childhood to those of adulthood.
The next creation by the Théâtre de l’Entrouvert company is an invitation extended to Elise Vigneron by Jason Ezra Turner, Professor at the University of Levanger (Norway), and Yngvild Aspeli from Nordland Visual Theater (Norway), to collaborate with final-year students from the University of Levanger. For this Franco-Norwegian project, Elise Vigneron has chosen to stage the novel The Bridges by Norwegian author Tarjei Vesaas, focusing on the multiplicity of bodies to create a choral form.
This highly refined and deeply poetic polyphonic narrative constantly oscillates between dreamlike visions and stark realism, offering a distillation of the elements that characterize Tarjei Vesaas’s writing: the song of the earth, first emotions, and the exaltation of life.
