THE BRIDGES” immerses us in the simple and poetic story of three adolescents who come together around a frightening secret that will inevitably and suddenly carry them from the shores of childhood to those of adulthood.

The next creation of the Théâtre de l’Entrouvert company is an invitation extended to Élise Vigneron by Jason Ezra Turner, Professor at the University of Levanger (Norway), and Yngvild Aspeli of the Nordland Visual Theater (Norway), to collaborate with the final-year students at the University of Levanger.
For this Franco-Norwegian project, Élise Vigneron has chosen to stage the novel “The Bridges” by Norwegian author Tarjei Vesaas, working with a multitude of bodies to create a choral form.

This extremely pared-down, highly poetic polyphonic narrative constantly oscillates between dreamlike visions and raw realism, offering a condensation of the elements that characterize Tarjei Vesaas’s writing: a song of the earth, first awakenings of emotion, and an exaltation of life.
