The initial desire is to tell stories of people alone facing the sea. People who have chosen to set off, alone, aboard a boat. Stories of salty adventures—their relationship with the ocean, their rituals… and their tales.

Why this urge to confront something greater than oneself? Why throw oneself headlong into the unknown? What drives someone, despite the dangers, to embark on an adventure? By exploring the relationship each of us has with risk, this performance will combine animated backdrops, puppetry, and grand narratives of sailors, all around a small boat stage. It aims to create thrilling sensations for those who prefer to stay on land, feet dry, listening to stories.

And what place, indeed, is there for the timid in great journeys?
