GLACE

Impromptu piece at the crossroads of Art & Science

…Production Autumn 2021

All public

A creative project at the crossroads of art and science, GLACE (ICE) is a performative sculptural installation, which compares and contrasts the viewpoints of a glaciolo- gist and a puppeteer on their respective ice-based practices.

Ice sculptures, a heated element, coring, modelling and diagrams feature among the stage props used to build an encounter and prompt a debate on the metaphorical and aesthetic aspects of this substance, one whose physical properties point an icy finger towards global warming.

«Exploring the fragility and metamorphosis of this substance with animated bodies and images, I use the metaphorical language of a silent theatre to immerse the audience in a sensory experience.»
