The theater Compagny Théâtre de l’Entrouvert was created in 2010 by Elise Vigneron trained in plastic arts, circus arts and puppetry arts (graduate of the École Nationale Supérieure de la Marionnette in Charleville-Mézières).
At the crossroads of disciplines, the Théâtre de l’Entrouvert supports a contemporary vision of the puppetry arts, while drawing inspiration from its origins. Digging a plastic language that speaks directly, to the senses, to the unconscious, immersing the spectators in an intimate and common experience is the artistic project that she develops.
The presence of ephemeral materials, the phenomenon of duplication, the volatile nature of the images, the sound vibrations and the drawn words, disturb the perception of the spectator, summoning in him landscapes more than facts, silences more than explanations.
« À qui parlons nous,
lorsque nous nous taisons ? »
In balance, together with the spectators / travelers, we walk towards this territory of the in-between, on the border between the visible and the invisible, the animate and the inanimate, the shadow and the light. Approaching us to this place where identities are blurred, time stands still, spaces stretch towards infinity.
The company’s shows are scheduled in internationally renowned theaters and festivals such as the SPAF, Seoul Performing Art Festival in Seoul (South Korea), the international festival of Puppet Theater in Charleville-Mézières (08), the Biennale des puppetry arts in Paris, the Biennale Corps Objets images at the TJP, CDN in Strasbourg (67), the National Theater of Montévidéo (Uruguay), the Municipal Theater of Rosario (Argentina), the FIMFA festival in Lisbon (Portugal), Mime London Festival in London, the UNIDRAM Festival in Postdam (Germany), Internationales Figurentheaterfestival in Magdeburg (Germany) or even the Lutke Festival in Ljubjana (Slovenia), 140 in Bruxelles (Belgium), Here in New-York (U.S.A.) and the Casteliers festival in Montréal (Canada).
