CREATION IN OCTOBER 2023

A metaphor for time, the wave is both the image of permanent flow and the symbol of impermanence.

In The Waves, Virginia Woolf sketches the individual paths of her characters taken at each stage of their lives, superimposed on the atmospheric variations of a seascape described throughout the same day.
By materializing these identities into ice figures – time-beings that unite in the flow of the wave – I am interested in the phenomenon of metamorphosis present at the individual, collective and cosmic levels.
