Les Vagues

Ice choir show

A metaphor of time, waves are both the image of permanent flow and the symbol of impermanence.

In “The Waves”, Virginia Woolf sketches the individual journeys of different characters taken at each stage of their life, superimposed on the atmospheric variations of a seascape described throughout the same day.

Ice is the mirror of this fragility, its transformation into water shows us the organic links between man and nature. This choir of ice feet becomes an expanse of water where colors intermingle to reflect the image of our planet.

By placing humans at the heart of cyclical time, this project responds to this current need to “re-animate” our relationship to the world.
